Improved XSEDE OA4MP service now supports OAuth 2.0

XSEDE users have the ability to delegate a short-lived certificate issued by the XSEDE MyProxy service to a science gateway using the XSEDE OA4MP (OAuth for MyProxy) service.

The enhanced OA4MP service now supports both the OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols. XSEDE encourages science gateway developers to start phasing out use of OAuth 1.0a in favor of the newer OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols. This enhancement is most useful to software/service developers that integrate with XSEDE’s security services.

The CILogon Service enables users to authenticate with their home organization InCommon credentials to access XSEDE cyberinfrastructure resources.

An enhanced CILogon service now support both the OpenID Connect (OAuth 2.0) and OAuth 1.0a protocols. This enhancement is most useful to software/service developers that integrate with XSEDE’s security services.

Improved XSEDE batch job prediction service (Karnak) is now available

The Karnak Service predicts how quickly batch jobs will start on XSEDE resources.

An enhanced Karnak service (version 2) is now available which improves predictions and can now group resources into fast, medium, and slow or other categories. Users that run many jobs should achieve better throughput by submitting them to multiple resources in the desired category.

More information is available on the XSEDE Karnak home page.
