Results of the December 2020 UREP review are available

Results of the XSEDE User Requirements Evaluation and Prioritization (UREP) working group's December 2020 priority evaluation are publicly available on the Research Software Portal. This cycle, most of the plans involved ways to provide web interfaces for accessing XSEDE-allocated resources that could be delivered using Open OnDemand software. The specific features UREP members indicated would be most attractive were: using a web browser to submit jobs, simplifying remote manipulation of small files, and running interactive applications using XSEDE resources for computation. These priority ratings will be used to guide the specific direction of XSEDE's work. 

The UREP periodically reviews proposed plans for new XSEDE capabilities. Ideas are proposed by XSEDE community members and delivery plans are developed by XSEDE personnel. Open OnDemand is an NSF-funded open-source HPC portal based on the Ohio Supercomputing Center’s original OnDemand portal.
