Description: Through the Illinois Massively Parallel Acceleration Toolkit project, researchers have honed in on a way to speed up the acquisition and reconstruction of MRI images, while maintaining accuracy. The project, which draws on Brute Force and Toeplitz technologies, has enabled MRI processing in hours instead of weeks. The research is sponsored in part by the National Institutes of Health.
