SPI-04: Access resource information from an application

Executive Summary:

An application developer needs to add a feature to an application that retrieves and displays up-to-date description and status information about a community resource from all available sources.

User Importance Summary:

As resources are added and removed from the public research computing environment, and as the number of resources grows, it's important for our systems to be able to access and display information about resources in a uniform manner. User documentation, operator dashboards, etc. all rely on the ability to retrieve and display current information about resources.

Target Communities and Sizes:

Application developers - 1 < N < 10 Application users - 10,000 < N < 100,000
