GSI-OpenSSH is a modified version of OpenSSH that adds support for X.509 proxy certificate authentication and delegation, providing a single sign-on remote login and file transfer service. GSI-OpenSSH can be used to login to remote systems and transfer files between systems without entering a password, relying instead on a valid proxy credential for authentication. GSI-OpenSSH forwards proxy credentials to the remote system on login, so commands requiring proxy credentials (including GSI-OpenSSH commands) can be used on the remote system without the need to manually create a new proxy credential on that system. The Pegasus project encompasses a set of technologies that help workflow-based applications execute in a number of different environments including desktops, campus clusters, grids, and clouds. Pegasus bridges the scientific domain and the execution environment by automatically mapping high-level workflow descriptions onto distributed resources. It automatically locates the necessary input data and computational resources necessary for workflow execution.Pegasus enables scientists to construct workflows in abstract terms without worrying about the details of the underlying execution environment or the particulars of the low-level specifications required by the middleware (Condor, Globus, or Amazon EC2). Pegasus also bridges the current cyberinfrastructure by effectively coordinating multiple distributed resources.

Shibboleth is a standards based, open source software package for web single sign-on across or within organizational boundaries. It allows sites to make informed authorization decisions for individual access of protected online resources in a privacy-preserving manner.

OAuth for MyProxy provides an OAuth-compliant REST web interface to the MyProxy service for providing user certificates to science gateways. It eliminates the need for users to disclose their MyProxy passwords to science gateways. Instead, gateway users authenticate to their MyProxy server's OAuth web interface to approve issuance of a certificate by MyProxy to the science gateway they are using.

Globus Auth is a foundational identity and access management (IAM) platform service, used for brokering authentication and authorization interactions between end-users, identity providers, resource servers (services), and clients (including web, mobile, desktop, and command line applications, and other services).

The goal of Globus Auth is to enable an extensible, integrated ecosystem of services and clients for the research and education community. A typical research/education end-user has many identities, issued by different identity providers (e.g., universities, national laboratories, software-as-a-service (SaaS) web applications, commercial services). This end-user uses various application clients (e.g., web, mobile, desktop, command line). These clients leverage a variety of web/cloud services, from many providers, and these services even leverage each other. Globus Auth provides the security glue to allow end-users to easily access this ecosystem of clients and services. It also makes it possible for an extensible set of identity, client, and service providers to participate in this ecosystem and to leverage each other’s capabilities while providing end-users with a consistent user experience.

Globus Auth is compliant with the OAuth2 and OpenID Connect standards, but extends them to support use cases that are beyond the scope of those standards. Compliant OAuth2 and OpenID Connect clients should work with Globus Auth with little or no changes.

XCRI offers a Cluster Monitoring toolkit - compatible with the XCBC or any OpenHPC cluster running Warewulf, that allows sites to install tools that monitor both cluster health and job statistics. The toolkit allows administrators to generate fine-grained reports of usage based on users, projects, and job types, which can be a great aid in keeping track of ROI or justifying future funding.
